Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes — the extension is free on the Chrome Web Store. For bulk or automated extraction at scale, use the related Apify zoom-scraper actor.

Does it work on government Zoom (zoomgov.com)?

Yes. As of v1.0.3, recordings and clips on *.zoomgov.com — used by US federal/state/local agencies, courts, and public-meeting hosts — are detected and extracted.

Do I need a Zoom account or login?

No account is stored. You only need normal viewing access to the recording — the extension never bypasses passwords or accesses content you can't already view.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. All processing happens locally in your browser. History and transcripts are stored only on your device; nothing is sent to external servers. Full details in the privacy policy.

Why did my download link stop working?

Zoom's direct download links expire after roughly 24–48 hours — that's a Zoom limitation. Just extract again to get a fresh link.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Click the feedback (chat) icon inside the extension to open a short form — no account needed. Or email [email protected].
